Mark Horstman is an award-winning science journalist. A zoology graduate from James Cook University, he worked on ‘looking after country’ in Northern Australia with the Cape York Land Council, the Australian Conservation Foundation, the Queensland Premier’s Department, and the Kimberley Land Council.
Joining the ABC as a cadet science journalist in 2002, he went on to produce TV stories for Catalyst from China, Japan, Indonesia, Borneo, New Zealand, US, Africa, Antarctica and throughout Australia. Now based in Hobart, he works as a freelance science communicator and producer. Mark is a board member of the Bob Brown Foundation.
